Founders and CFOs Ready to Talk: Start With a Conversation
No applications. No commitments. No obligation. Since 2012, our team of 12 specialists has helped 1,400+ business owners navigate complex banking decisions. We will listen to your situation first β and if we can help, we will tell you exactly how. If we cannot, we will tell you that too. Average response time: 4.2 hours during business days.
Get a Tailored Response β Tell Us About Your Business
The more context you share, the more prepared we will be for our first conversation. Every inquiry is reviewed personally by a senior relationship manager β never routed to a call center or intake queue. Not sure which category fits? Select "General Inquiry" and we will sort it out.
What Happens After You Reach Out
We have refined this process since 2012 to respect your time while gathering everything we need to deliver real value from the very first conversation.
Prefer to Reach Us Directly? Multiple Ways to Connect
Whether you want to call, email, or visit in person, our Mississauga headquarters is staffed by the same team of 12 specialists who will manage your relationship long-term. No handoffs to a different department after the first call.
Questions Business Owners Ask Before Reaching Out
Yes, completely. The initial discovery call is free with no obligation. We do not ask you to sign anything, submit a formal application, or commit to any product. Our goal is to understand your business and determine whether Thornbury Banking can genuinely add value. If we believe another institution is a better fit, we will tell you directly. Roughly 15% of initial consultations end with us recommending a different provider β and that is fine. We would rather build trust than force a fit.
Our core client base consists of Canadian businesses with annual revenues between $1M and $50M. That said, we work with companies slightly outside that range when the relationship makes sense. Our 10 service categories are purpose-built for mid-market complexity β businesses that have outgrown retail banking but do not yet need a Bay Street institutional desk. Industries span manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, technology, logistics, and specialized trades.
A senior relationship manager from our 12-person team in Mississauga. Not a junior intake associate, not a chatbot, and not a call center. The person who speaks with you during the discovery call is the same person who will manage your relationship going forward. You can learn about our team and their backgrounds on our About page. Our co-founders, Marcus Thornbury and Elena Vasquez-Thornbury, remain actively involved in client relationships and personally review complex inquiries.
Typical onboarding takes 10β15 business days from signed engagement to fully operational accounts and digital access. Complex engagements involving multiple facilities, cross-border structures, or acquisition financing may take longer depending on due diligence requirements. We provide a detailed timeline in your tailored proposal so there are no surprises. Our pricing page outlines the three relationship tiers and what is included in each.
Yes. We have managed hundreds of bank transitions since 2012 and have a structured migration process that minimizes operational disruption. We handle vendor payment re-routing, payroll account transitions, and integration changeovers in a staged sequence β your business never goes a day without full banking capability. Most clients maintain their existing bank relationship during the transition period and phase out once everything is confirmed. Absolutely. All form submissions are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and stored in our SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure. Your data is governed by our privacy policy, which complies with PIPEDA and Ontario privacy legislation. We never share your information with third parties, sell lead data, or use your inquiry details for marketing purposes beyond your direct engagement with Thornbury Banking. Our full data handling practices are detailed in our Terms of Service.
